What are the best excursions on a Carnival cruise to the Bahamas?
I am going on a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas but me and my boyfriend are having a hard time deciding on the exursions. We wanted to do the Ardastra Gardens & City Tour and the Seaworld Tour (the semi submarine -2 hrs and 1 hour tour of Nassau) but the time is a conflict. One ends 15 minutes after the next one starts so I’m not sure which one to do now. Any help on which excursion is fun?
I suggest the Seaworld Tour, when we went, we were within inches of a shark. It was really cool. I don’t suggest you do two excursions in one day. We usually only do one or two even on a seven day cruise. You can still go to the Ardastra Gardens, it is more fun to explore without everyone else sometimes.
The Garden Route is one of the most scenic stretches of coastline in South Africa. Oudtshoorn
Oudtshoorn is surrounded by the Outeniqua Mountains to the south and north Swartberg Mountains and situated in the center of the plains of the Klein Karoo. Oudtshoorn is known as the ostrich capital, with a large number of birds in the region. Four farms offer daily tours: Highgate, Safari, Oudtshoorn and the Congo. Cango Caves are one of the most spectacular attractions in the area. The Cango Caves are 3 limestone caves covering a great distance, and full of fascinating stalactites, stalagmites and helictites. It is also a great wine producing region and is part of the route of the world's largest wine!
Knysna
The town of Knysna is situated between the lush indigenous forests and the tranquil shores of the Knysna Lagoon, and has some of the most breathtaking scenery in Africa. You can enjoy the scenery of nearby for the horse riding or cycling in forests. , As well as stunning scenery, there are a lot of things to do while you're there, cruising to the heads Knysna, or playing a round of golf in the estuary.
Plettenberg Bay
Plettenbery Bay is one of the most beautiful tourist areas of South Africa, with miles and miles of white sand beaches. The weather stays warm all year round, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. Plettenberg Bay is partnering with all types of marine life. Of particular interest are the large schools of dolphins and whales that are commonplace during the breeding season. These can be seen in one of the whale watching tours regular running from the bay.
With great natural beauty, and a lot of activities for all, the Garden Route is a great destination to visit when on vacation to South Africa!
