How come Tuomas from Nightwish got emotional in End of an Era playing Ever Dream?

I don’t mean to be nosey or anything, just it’s always been a question in my head. I’m just curious!

When I was watching the dvd my mom was like “what happened to him?” lol
But I always assume that he gets like that when a song is very personal to him although all his songs are, I bet there are some that mean more to him than others, that he’s more connected to.
This is just an opinion since I don’t know what the hell is really going through his mind.

A rare vehicle was hidden from Nazi German mine during World War II is now on display for two days at the Audi showroom on Park Avenue. Silver D-Type Auto Union, forerunner of Audi, will eventually be auctioned on February 17 in Paris as part of the sale for Christie's Retromobile auto. The race car is estimated to be worth millions of dollars and is expected to reach about U.S. $ 12 million to $ 15 million.

Christie's said: "Even Adolf Hitler gave 500,000 Reichsmarks Auto Union and Mercedes-Benz to promote racing and technology, the car is not specifically associated with the Third Reich. "The D-Type on the screen, the grandfather of modern race cars, is one of only 2 in existence. Said has revolutionized the racing car, putting the driver in front of engine instead of behind him. It speeds up to 185 miles per hour.

"This car was really ahead of its time," said Rupert Banner, director of Christie's International division of cars. "It was revolutionary. It changed the face of competition." Over 20 Auto Union cars series were produced between 1933 and 1939. The D-Type, designed by Ferdinand Porsche, has a body shape compared to an aircraft fuselage. The driver sits sunken in the body of metal and wheels. The latter appears as bicycle tires with large independent suspension. Car manufacturers today are improving its line of race cars, like the D-Type. In fact, the formulation and fastest street car or light theme with EBC Redstuff are also inspired by racing cars, such as D-Type.

"There was a kind of memory loss after the war" Audi historian Thomas Erdmann said. "It took really until the early 1960s and later in the 1980s for car design to reach these cars. "Just before World War II, the D-Type won the 1939 French Grand Prix. The car, also called the Silver Arrow, was filmed winding through country roads for use in newsreels across Europe. "They vanished, lost behind the Iron Curtain" Erdmann said.

In the field of racing, German cars always with silver, using British and French blue, green. These colors eventually became his trademark. This is the reason behind the shiny silver D-Type.

During the height of World War II, hid Auto Workers Union the car in a mine in eastern Germany to flee their use for scrap. After the war, and the Russians discovered the cars and they in their own country, along with dismantled the car factories of the Union, to re-create motorsports. The cars were dismantled.

An American car collector came through automotive parts in a scrap heap in Ukraine and took them back to England. There, the auto experts Crosthwaite & Gardiner restored. Christie's did not disclose that you are selling.
